1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Refuge Church mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the App.
The App is provided by Refuge Christian Church ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a CA nonprofit organization located at 2929 Running Springs School Rd, Running Springs, CA 92382. The App is powered by Honest Ventures LLC's technology platform.
2. Description of Service
The App provides a mobile community platform that enables users to connect, share content, participate in discussions, and access exclusive resources. The App includes features such as messaging, content sharing, event notifications, and community forums.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:
Content Violations:
Post, transmit, or share content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or offensive
Engage in hate speech, harassment, bullying, or intimidation of other users
Share content that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
Post content that infringes upon intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, or patents
Platform Abuse:
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other user accounts, or computer systems
Use automated scripts, bots, or other artificial means to access or interact with the App
Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or security measures
Commercial Misuse:
Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes or spam
Solicit passwords or personal information from other users for commercial or unlawful purposes
Impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
Legal Violations:
Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
Engage in activities that could harm minors in any way
Share content that violates privacy rights or constitutes doxxing
5. User-Generated Content
The App allows users to post, submit, and share content, including text, images, videos, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by posting content on the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in connection with operating and promoting the App.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you post and that such content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law. You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it.
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, or remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We may also preserve User Content and disclose it if required by law or if we believe such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, enforce these Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
6. Data Security and Privacy
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure server infrastructure, regular security assessments, and access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information, and you acknowledge that you provide your information at your own risk. In the event of a data breach that may compromise your personal information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.
7. Reporting Criminal Activity
If you become aware of any illegal activity or content on the App, you should immediately report it to us through our designated reporting mechanisms within the App or by contacting us at [Contact Email]. We reserve the right to investigate reported violations and to take appropriate action, including reporting criminal activity to law enforcement authorities.
We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies in investigating potential criminal conduct and may disclose user information when legally required or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
Users are encouraged to report:
Threats of violence or harm
Child exploitation or abuse
Fraud or financial crimes
Drug trafficking or illegal substance sales
Any other criminal activity
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Breach of these Terms
Violation of applicable laws
Engaging in prohibited conduct
Failure to pay required fees (if applicable)
Extended periods of inactivity
